Secondary Programmes

We offer full-time one-year teacher training programmes in a number of secondary subjects, across a number of different routes. All these programmes provide Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and come with the opportunity to do the PGCE with our university provider, UCL Institute of Education (or University of Sussex for Classics trainees).

In all these subjects, except Social Sciences, you will be working with students aged 11-19 years old, and teaching Key stages 3-5. For Social Sciences, you will be just teaching Key Stage 4 upwards.

Primary ProgrammeS

Unsalaried Route - Primary General

You will work in one of our partner primary schools to gain QTS and the PGCE.

This is open to all graduates with a 2:1 or above in any discipline.

 

Salaried School Direct (TBAP) - Primary General

You will work with our partner The Bridge AP Academy to gain QTS and the PGCE.

This is open to all graduates with a 2:2 or above in any discipline.

Candidates must have an interest in working with learners with additional SEMH needs. Classroom experience is preferred. 

Trainees will be expected to teach a higher teaching load from the outset.
